There are currently no adult recreational sales allowed in the state of Hawai’i. Hawai’i offers a medical marijuana program through our State Department of Health. A Hawai’i MMJ cardholder may legally use medical cannabis, possess up to 4 ounces (or equivalent amount of THC) per 15 calendar days, grow up to 10 plants, and obtain their medicine at any Hawai’i Medical Cannabis Dispensary.

Getting a Hawaii Medical Marijuana 329 card currently takes about 1-2 business days* - please plan accordingly.

  • Make an appointment with a certifying physician, APRN, or cannabis clinic. Scroll down to view a list of certifying Hawai’i physicians.

For detailed information, please visit the Department of Health website.

  • Register for an account with the State Department of Health online and complete the application which then gets sent to your certifying physician, APRN, or cannabis clinic. Remember to record your login information as you will need it to access your 329 card once issued.

  • Your certifying physician, APRN, or cannabis clinic will then complete their portion of the online form and submit the entire application to the Department of Health. Once approved, expect your 329 card to be sent to your e-mail address within a few days.
